- A more advanced version of the Renegade is equipped with a turbocharger of the same volume, but with a capacity of 170 forces (250 Nm). It works with a nine-speed automatic, and the drive is extremely full. Acceleration from 0-100 km / h of this version is given in 8.8 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 196 km / h.
- In addition, the car can be ordered with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder aspirated, developing 175 “mares” and 232 Nm of torque. This option has a nine-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. Acceleration to hundreds here is possible in 9.8 s, and the maximum speed is 180 kilometers per hour.
Even with older engines, the 2021 Jeep Renegade cannot be called a dynamic car, which is noticeable already by the manufacturer’s declared acceleration time from zero to hundreds. In the city, the power of a compact SUV is enough for the eyes, but on the highway its lack is clearly felt (especially when overtaking at speed).
Top-end motors work in tandem with a nine-speed automatic, the operation of which does not arise any questions. He gets along well with the engines, shifting gears quickly and correctly.
At the same time, the car compensates for its not the most dynamic character with an omnivorous suspension and good cross-country ability, and especially in this regard, the Trailhawk version, which is the most prepared for off-road conditions, with increased ground clearance and better geometric cross-country ability, stands out.
The interior of the compact Jeep Renegade is spacious enough, which cannot be said about the trunk. The front seats of the car have a wide range of adjustments, which makes it possible to comfortably accommodate even men above average height. The seats themselves are comfortable, with developed lateral support.
With ergonomics, the model is in complete order: all controls are located exactly where you expect them to be, although the drive mode selector washer is low, which is why the driver has to be distracted from the road while driving – it is inconvenient to switch without looking.
But certain questions arise about the visibility of the cabin: the car has too massive front struts, and the front side windows are for some reason divided into two parts.
