The tuning studio ABT Sportsline has prepared a modified version of the “charged” crossover Audi RS Q8. The modification from German tuners received the letter “R” in the name and was developed for the upcoming 125th anniversary of the workshop.
Outside, the ABT RSQ8-R is notable for the presence of an aerodynamic body kit that includes several carbon components at once. In particular, the car has inserts in the front bumper, ventilation slots on the front fenders, mirror housings, side skirts, wheel arch extensions, a rear spoiler and other rear bumper decor.
The massive 23-inch ABT High Performance HR wheels wrapped in 295/35 tires further contribute to the more aggressive look of the model. The changes in the interior turned out to be more targeted, but quite effective.
The “charged” off-road vehicle got a branded ABT steering wheel and engine start button, seats with atelier’s logos and the name of the modification, as well as a different armrest. Inside the car, the design of the central console has been revised, and the inscription “1 of 125” flaunts on the thresholds. Plus the car has new floor mats and special nameplates.
As for the technical features of the modification, the tuners installed on the Audi RSQ8-R a new stainless steel exhaust system, an intercooler specially designed for the model, as well as a proprietary module “ABT Engine Control”. As a result, the performance of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine is increased to 740 hp. (920 Nm).
The company does not talk about the dynamics of such a car, but previously the studio has already worked on the new RS Q8. Then the workshop specialists managed to squeeze 700 forces and 880 Nm of torque from the engine of the car, allowing the crossover to accelerate from zero to a hundred in 3.5 seconds, which means the new version with the letter R is even faster.
As for the maximum speed, the 740-horsepower RSQ8-R can be accelerated up to 315 km / h, and then the electronic “collar” will not allow. However, for a surcharge, the latter can be completely abandoned. It turns out that on paper, this modification is faster than the serial Bentley Bentayga Speed and Lamborghini Urus, which have a maximum speed of 306 and 305 km / h, respectively.
It is reported that exactly 125 copies of the Audi RS Q8-R modification will be built in the ABT workshop, but the cost of the anniversary special version has not been specified.
