The all-electric crossover BMW iX was presented back in the fall of the twentieth, but the production of serial cars only starts in November 2021. The company promises to start delivering such machines to Russia, but the first copies will probably reach our market only at the beginning of 2022.
Two modifications were prepared for the model, and they are both all-wheel drive – iX xDrive40 and iX xDrive50, and later there will also be a top-end version of the iX M60 with a return of over 600 hp, but there are no details about it yet.

Even if the basic version appears, it will not be right away: accepting orders is open only for “fifty”, the price of such a version in the Russian Federation is at least 8,500,000 rubles. For the electric car, which is comparable in size to the current BMW X5 (G05), three versions are available: Atelier, Loft and Suite.
They differ from each other in seat upholstery and decor. The standard version has Sensatec leatherette upholstery, four-zone climate control, electric front seats, a panoramic roof, and heated all seats, steering wheel and even armrests.
The Loft version features fabric and suede upholstery, while its equipment is complemented by Harman / Kardon music, multi-contour front seats, automatic parking, door closers and laser-phosphor high beams. The suite features genuine leather upholstery and ventilated front seats. The latter two can be supplemented with a Sport package with an appropriate exterior body kit.
In terms of technology, the BMW iX is equipped with two electric motors – on the front axle with a capacity of 272 hp. and 352 Nm, and at the rear – 340 forces and 400 Nm of torque. On the xDrive40 version, the total output of the units is 326 hp. and 630 Nm, and on the iX xDrive50, the final output is increased to 523 hp. and 765 Nm. The traction battery differs on modifications.
The basic version has a battery with a capacity of 71 kWh, providing a range of up to 425 km (according to the WLTP cycle), and a more powerful one has a 105.2 kWh battery. As a result, the mileage on one charge here should reach 630 kilometers. The maximum speed in both cases is limited to 200 km / h, and the acceleration time to hundreds takes 6.1 and 4.6 seconds. respectively.
When it comes to fueling the electric SUV, the charging power from the three-phase AC outlet is 11 kW, and from the DC terminal – 150 kW for the entry version and 200 kW for the iX xDrive50. As a result, it takes only about half an hour to charge the battery from 10% to 80%.
