The British firm Everrati, specializing in converting classic cars into electric cars, has presented its new project – the Signature coupe, built on the basis of the classic Porsche 911 (964).
So far, only one copy of such a model has been built. The donor for him was a car of the 1991 model. In the process of revision, the latter not only acquired an electric power plant, but also received a slightly revised appearance.
Everrati specialists installed lighter carbon fiber body panels on the sports car instead of the original steel ones. The two-door received widened fenders, new doors and a trunk lid.
The presented electric car has a new roof, although if the client wants to keep the original hatch, the British will not touch the top. Plus, the car has got other wheels, which can be 17 or 18 inches in diameter.
In addition, the Everrati Signature features lightweight RS Cup bumpers (from the Porsche signature collection) and modern headlights. At the same time, the exhaust pipes are preserved on the sports car, although here they perform an exclusively decorative role.
Among the innovations in the interior, it is worth noting the emergence of a multimedia system from the Porsche Classic accessories package. There is also a new tidy installed here, but in terms of design, it repeats the original.
The classic Porsche 911 (964) is naturally aspirated, but the redesigned Everrati Signature uses an electric motor instead. The latter is located on the rear axle and produces 507 hp. (500 Nm). By the way, the removed ICE can be handed over to the client “in a box”, or turned into some kind of art object.
The original gearbox also went under the knife, and instead of the basic free differential, the developers used the Quaife self-block. The resulting electric car was equipped with a traction battery with a capacity of 53 kWh. Apparently, it is located in the front compartment.
It is reported that such a Porsche 911 weighs 1,450 kg, that is, even less than the original donor car. From zero to a hundred, an electric sports car can accelerate in less than 4.0 seconds, and its power reserve is declared at 240 kilometers.
The design of the suspension remains the same, but the springs and shock absorbers the British have used new ones. Moreover, the client can order adaptive shock absorbers from Tractive, and the models also have modern ventilated Brembo brakes.
Everrati has estimated the fully finished Signature sports car at 250,000 pounds (almost 26.0 million rubles at the current exchange rate). The company has already started accepting orders, but the first cars will be shipped to customers only in the fall of the twenty-first.
