I’m talking about the operation of the Lada Vesta Sport, on which I drove 10,500 km in a month and a half. Immediately, I note that the appearance of the sports modification attracts attention: passers-by ask where the tuning was carried out, how much it costs. But in general, the car remained recognizable. Opinions are divided here – some like it, others wry.

The only negative in appearance is the bumper inserts, consisting of several parts, which also depart. Is it really impossible to avoid this minor nuisance? On the exterior, everything is now about the salon.

Review of Lada Vesta Sport 1.8 MT 2019

The interior is standard, but there are design features. The ceiling is lined with black material, the front seats with red accents. By the way, the seats are quite comfortable, they are well supported from the side. Even when entering a sharp turn, you do not fall on the door. In addition, there is no discomfort in the lower back during long trips.

The steering wheel is multifunctional, in this version it is thicker and upholstered in leatherette. The tunnel is decorated with inserts styled in carbon, and lacquered flaps (they pop, which is a little annoying). The gearbox selector is large, looks somewhat old-fashioned compared to foreign cars, but it is convenient. I was completely disappointed by the wipers, which do not brush away water, but smear it on the glass.

The power unit consumes up to 7.0 liters per 100 km when driving on the highway, and from 7.2 to 9.0 liters when traveling around the city. The engine jerks at low revs (which causes discomfort if it gets stuck in a traffic jam), otherwise everything is fine. At high revs, the engine demonstrates decent dynamics for this class of cars. Vesta Sport cheerfully goes to overtake – there are no problems with this. The exhaust system is loud to maintain the ambiance of the sporty model.

After 2,500 km, I decided to change my native oil. I poured Motul X-cess 5w40 into the motor, and Motul 75W-80 into the box. After that, I drove 8,500 km, and on the dipstick shows that the level has not decreased.

There are no serious problems with the suspension. True, she does not behave comfortably on a bumpy road. But demanding the behavior of an SUV from a car of this class and price, I think, is not worth it. Compared to Fords, the domestic car is somewhat worse. The front brakes make a nasty squeak, so I will be changing them in the near future.

Instead of a conclusion, I will say that Lada Vesta Sport is a car for comfortable movement within the framework of work. In this case, there are no global complaints about the model. But I’m not going to screw up the car with various chips – I’m not even going to tint. I think this is not the option in which you need to invest money.
