The Bugatti Chiron hypercar has got a modification called “Super Sport”. The novelty is intended for those customers who want everything at once: the superior performance of the Super Sport 300+ and the comfort of Pur Sport.
Outside, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport has a modest aerodynamic body kit, due to which a good streamlining of the body is achieved. At the same time, the French also lengthened the tail of the hypercar (+ 25 cm) so that the car generates a sufficient amount of downforce.

Plus, the novelty boasts a retractable wing, which is activated in the “Top Speed” mode of maximum performance, thereby increasing the stability of the machine.
Other features of the modification are the round air vents on the front fenders (in the style of the Bugatti EB110) and the vertical double-barreled exhaust system. However, these solutions have already been used on the Super Sport 300+ variant.
But the wheels with the Y-shaped design of the spokes are unique here, and even “shod” in special tires that can withstand speeds of up to 500 kilometers per hour.
The interior of the new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is trimmed with leather, and not the usual Alcantara in other versions. Plus, the developers decorated the interior with polished aluminum and carbon fiber inserts.
The Super Sport is powered by a standard 8.0-liter W16 four-turbine engine. Here it is boosted to 1,600 hp. and 1,600 Nm. In other words, in terms of performance, the new product is in no way inferior to the 300+ version.
It is reported that it takes only 5.8 seconds for the two-door to accelerate from standstill to 200 km / h (- 0.3 seconds compared to the usual Shiron), and from 0-300 km / h it accelerates in 12.1 seconds (-1 , 0).
The company does not name the acceleration from 0-400 km / h, although they note that in this exercise the new product is 7% faster. Recall that the standard model is able to overcome this bar in 32.6 seconds.
As for the maximum speed, it is electronically limited to 440 km / h on the Chiron Super Sport version. The developers decided to use the “collar” “for safety reasons.”
Interestingly, the engineers also tweaked the hypercar’s suspension. According to them, the changes made made it possible to make the character of the car more compliant at civilian speeds.
In total, the company will release only nine copies of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport at a price of 3.2 million euros (282.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate) for each. The first vehicles will be shipped to customers in 2022.
