Six months ago, I bought a brand new Renault Arkana 2019. I leave my review about this car. The overall impression remains extremely positive. I poured fuel into the tank, threw the key into the bag – and you can enjoy a comfortable ride.

Yes, there are minor flaws and shoals in the model, but when buying a completely new car from the salon, you need to take into account that you are conducting a kind of test and allow the company to make the car even better. I will highlight the key points that I encountered during 6 months of operation of Renault Arcana.

Review of Renault Arkana 1.3 CVT 2019

1. Power plant / gearbox raises no objections. I overcame more than 3,000 km in the run-in mode and from that moment I drive as I want, getting only good emotions. The tandem “engine and variator” do their job well. The reserve of power and torque is sufficient for maneuvering in the urban cycle or outside the city when traveling on the highway.

Sports mode is not implemented “for show”. When activated, a surge of dynamism and speed is felt. Average fuel consumption with an activated “cruise” at a speed of 100 km / h reaches 6 liters per hundred. In the city – up to 9.4 liters. There was no need to change the oil. As there will be more than 10,000 mileage, then I will change. Of the negative features, I will single out the unpleasant sound of the engine at high revs. Unfortunately, this “disease” affects most 1.3-liter engines. The imitation of gear shifting during intensive acceleration has dips.

2. Suspension. I will boldly call it one of the main advantages of Renault Arkana. For urban operating conditions, the other is not required. At the same time, the driver should take into account that the ground clearance is slightly underestimated, therefore parking near curbs requires increased attention.

3. The salon of the model has a stylish design, ergonomics and convenient placement of key elements. However, plastic parts make squeaks in some places. The seats are made of soft materials, so even a long ride does not cause discomfort. The number of niches is limited, and the options available are only upsetting.

There is no room for a liter bottle, and only 0.5 liters can be placed in the door pockets and the hole in the parking brake. There are no complaints about the armrest, but its niche is very tiny. Of the advantages, one can single out a spacious glove compartment in which you can store documents. In the dark, it is backlit and looks very stylish.

4. Elements of optics: the intensity of standard lighting is sufficient for any situation, including for a comfortable night ride or movement in rainy weather. The headlights don’t sweat.

Of the main little things-shortcomings that I had to meet in six months of driving on Arkana, I will note the following:

  • Windscreen washer sensor failures. The element was “buggy” after buying a car. Fortunately, it was changed in the salon under warranty.
  • Drainage of the air conditioning system. Solved the problem with a clamp and sealant.
  • Glitches in the GU. Unfortunately, the system has no updates.
  • Lack of overlays in the cabin on the carpet. The material itself is too thin and does not hold the initial shape.
  • The absence of deflectors on the windshield, therefore, when driving in the rain, liquid can fall on the glass in the area of ​​ u200b u200bthe mirrors, which negatively affects the view.
  • Lack of hooks in the luggage compartment for packages.
  • Another disadvantage is the small volume of the fuel tank.
