Owner reviews Hawal F7 2020-2021

Heard a lot before buying about the jerks and kicks of the checkpoint. So, the only place where there is a slight jolt is when driving in the yard, on a bad road, when the car does not understand which gear to use – 1st or 2nd. At such moments, there are jerks, but this is not critical.

Personally, I turn on the mechanical mode and calmly move along a bad road without any switching, and when leaving it, either I switch to automatic mode myself, or the automation itself switches. In all other respects, the robot works super – albeit with a small pause when switching to the back.

Review of Hawal F7 1.5 (150 HP) RT 4WD 2020

The assembly is lousy (possibly the first batch). I have an uneven tailgate – the gap on the left is less than on the right. The color of the bumpers and tailgate is markedly different from the rest of the body. They have a slightly yellowish tint, and the body is almost snowy white.

Also, the heating of the front seats did not work for me – the connectors on the bottom turned out to be open. After some time, there was a creak of rubber on the back left on the bumps. When checking, the bolts of the rear lower arm bushings were not tightened. Tightened with a torque wrench as much as 5 turns!

Review of the new Hawal F7 1.5 with robot 2019

There are a lot of different opinions about the driver’s seat: some are comfortable, some are not. It is soft, perhaps because of this, it will quickly crumple in the future. Anyway, I like soft rather than hard. The length of the pillow is quite normal, enough for me. What is missing is the rudder stick out. Although this is due to the fact that I like to fall apart in the car.

Multimedia. She does not have a lot of settings and menus, it was not difficult to figure everything out. In general, it’s simple, but everything works as it should. The response is fast, but the response of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto slows down by about 0.3 seconds.

Alexey, review of Hawal F7 2.0 RT 4WD 2020

Fuel eats acceptable, taking into account the power of 190 horses. After running 4,000 km (mainly in the city), it came out from 10 to 12 liters per 100 km. Mixed driving (city-highway) from 9 to 11 liters. Even less on the highway. Of course, it all depends on the road conditions and driving style.

Review of Haval F7 2.0 (190 HP) RT 4WD 2019

Today my friend and I set out on a route of 800 km, I was home at 21-30, ten hours on the way … What can I say for sure, as long as all expectations from Hawala come true. Almost all the way our Kuban winter rain poured, but all the turns and bends of the car went flawlessly, overtaking in general with a bang, but the car is still running in!

As soon as you press down on the gas a little, the tachometer needle instantly goes off at 3,500 rpm, and the acceleration is so vigorous that after overtaking you have to drop the gas, because in seventh gear and 2,500 rpm – the speed is already over 140 km per hour, how much more ?!

Specifications

New body Hawal F7 2021

The new Hawal F7 2021 body is built on the basis of a front-wheel drive platform with a monocoque body, the content of high-strength steels in which reaches 65%.

The car has a fully independent suspension, with MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link design at the rear. Disc brakes are installed on both the front and rear axles of the machine. Crossover Haval F7 has the following overall dimensions, mm

  • Length – 4 620
  • Width – 1846
  • Height – 1 690
  • Wheelbase – 2 725
  • Ground clearance (clearance) – 190

The boot volume of the new model is 723 liters, and with the second row seats folded down – 1,443 liters. Without exception, all versions of the crossover are equipped with a 56-liter fuel tank. In turn, the curb weight of the car directly depends on the selected engine / equipment and varies in the range from 1 605 to 1 720 kg.

Trunk Haval F7

  • The initial versions of the SUV are equipped with a 1.5-liter GW4B15 turbo engine with 150 hp. (280 Nm), which works in conjunction with a seven-speed robot. Unfortunately, the Chinese do not advertise the acceleration time of the car from zero to a hundred, although the maximum speed of the modification is still known – 180 km / h.
  • More expensive versions of Hawal F7 2021 rely on a two-liter turbo engine GW4C20. It also works in tandem with the aforementioned robot, while its output is 190 forces and 340 Nm of torque. The dynamics of acceleration from 0-100 km / h by the automaker is again not specified, however, the car can be accelerated up to 195 kilometers per hour.

The “creeping” plug mode is considered one of the most unfavorable for robotic gearboxes, however, the Chinese unit endures such operation with dignity, pleasing with smooth starts from a place and almost complete absence of unpleasant jerks when switching at low speeds.

However, there are still questions to the robot – with a sharp acceleration, the box occasionally demonstrates a two-second delay, making the driver nervous. As for the power reserve, the 190-horsepower version of the model demonstrates decent dynamics, which is enough everywhere and always (even in a fully loaded cabin).

Salon Hawal F7 2021

The handling of the new Hawal F7 is also pleasant, although in the near-zero zone the steering wheel of the “Chinese” is still uninformative. The crossover from the Middle Kingdom has good geometric cross-country ability and a fairly high ground clearance, however, due to the short-travel suspension, the driver needs to be very careful when moving over difficult terrain, since it is easy to break it down on large potholes.

The interior of Hawal F7 2021 model year pleases with a thoughtful and modern design, but not everyone will be satisfied with the fit. The driver’s seat has a “collapsed” back and is devoid of lumbar support adjustment, which is why after an hour and a half drive the motorist may feel discomfort in the back.

The ergonomics of the “Chinese” interior is well thought-out, but the plastic parts in the decoration are easily soiled, which is why they quickly lose their presentation and require constant care. This is also the case with the display of the multimedia system, which at first pleases with bright graphics and quick response, but instantly gets smeared with fingerprints.

As for the regular music, its six speakers sound powerful, but somewhat flat and dry, while it is impossible to make the sound more juicy even by adjusting the equalizer, so audiophiles will clearly be upset.

Interesting Facts

The international premiere of the new Haval F7 model took place in August 2018 at the Moscow Motor Show, although before that the automaker also showed the car at a special event in its native China.

In Russia, an off-road vehicle from the Middle Kingdom officially debuted in the summer of two thousand nineteen, and at the moment the production of cars for our market is localized at its own plant of a Chinese brand near Tula.

Interestingly, a variant with a coupe-like body – F7x, which was presented to the public at the April 2019 Shanghai Motor Show, is also provided for the “seven”.
