In early November 2019, Hyundai unveiled the updated 6th generation Grandeur business sedan. Outside, the restyled version of the four-door received an innovative radiator grill, in the diamond-shaped cells of which DRLs are integrated.
The 2020 Hyundai Grander also acquired an interesting head optics, and the headlights of such a sedan again have a diamond-shaped design. Plus, the Koreans revisited the design of the hood, front and rear fenders, trunk lid and lights, which are now combined with each other using a luminous strip.
The salon of the executive four-door has also undergone no less significant changes. First of all, it is worth noting the emergence of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. By the way, the screen of the multimedia system now has the same diagonal, while both displays are located under one glass (as in modern Mercedes).
The air conditioning control unit of the updated Grander is made in the original style and retained the physical keys, although in general there are fewer analog buttons in the cabin of the “Korean”. Also, the developers abandoned the traditional gearshift lever – instead of it, they installed a compact remote control with three buttons.
Also, the 2020 Hyundai Grandeur received new door cards and a steering wheel, and on the front panel, the designers revised the location of the ventilation deflectors. The company notes that during the restyling the wheelbase of the model increased to 2,885 mm (+ 40), while the body length is now 4,999 mm (+ 60). Such a change in dimensions is intended to make the four-door interior more spacious.
The line of power units of the restyled version of the sedan has been revised. From now on, the Hyundai Grander can be ordered with a new 2.5-liter aspirated gasoline engine with a capacity of 194 hp, while the previous 3.0-liter V6 and 2.2-liter diesel have been sent to retirement.
As before, the four-door can be ordered with a hybrid powertrain. The latter still consists of a 2.4-liter engine and a 52-horsepower electric motor, which together develop 200 horsepower. The gas version with a 3.0-liter engine with 235 horsepower remained in service, as well as the flagship version with a 290-horsepower 3.3-liter V6.
All options relies on a new eight-speed automatic and only the gas version is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission. The price of the new Hyundai Grander 2020 in South Korea starts at 32.94 million won (about 1.79 million rubles). This model is not represented on the Russian market, and we should not wait for the appearance of its restyled version, but in the USA the car will appear – there it is sold under the name Azera.
