Getting used to automatic transmission after mechanics took only a couple of days. The box works well, switching is almost invisible. When you switch to “Sport”, the dynamics change significantly, most often I drive around the city in this mode. Even with the most powerful engine, the hatchback starts off lazily and picks up speed rather slowly, which means that in traffic jams you cannot do without gas filling. At the same time, the reactions to pressing the accelerator are delayed – with a delay of a couple of seconds.

By the way, the robotic gearbox transferred to manual mode is also guilty of this, while the character of the car can be invigorated by activating the “Sport” mode, but in this case the driver will have to come to terms with the increased fuel consumption.

As for the operation of the suspension, it is still slightly stiff, but from now on it is not afraid of even large bumps, which means that the same “speed bumps” can be passed without consequences for comfort even at 40 km / h on the speedometer.

With the change of generation, the model received many changes, including a slightly different name: “Ceed” instead of the previous “cee’d”.

The new Sid appeared on the European market in the second quarter of two thousand and eighteenth, and the Koreans established the production of cars for the Old World in Slovakia. In July, auto sales started in Russia, and the assembly for our market was localized at the Kaliningrad enterprise Avtotor.

The aforementioned glossy inserts, which are most of all in the top-end Premium + version, are located wisely and do not get dirty during operation.

Compared to its predecessor, the Koreans have improved the noise insulation of the new Kia Sid 2021. Now, even at speeds close to high, only a quiet hum from the rear wheels makes itself felt in the cabin, although passengers in the back can also pay attention to the exhaust sound.

The front seats have a well-thought-out profile and developed lateral support, but their cushions are slightly piled back. The second row sofa pleases with a margin of free space, both in the legs and above the head, however, due to the unfortunate location of the power window buttons, accidental presses are not excluded, although in general the ergonomics of the model are at a high level.
