The 81st Geneva International Motor Show is the premiere site for the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 supercar, replacing the Murcielago. The numbers in the name of the new item indicate the engine power and the presence of all-wheel drive.
The design of the new Lamborghini is evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Most of all, the Aventador is similar to the Reventon, but overall it looks amazing on its own. The squat silhouette, large wheels and upward-opening doors are retained.

As has been reported many times, Lamborghini engineers paid great attention to reducing the weight of the car when designing the Aventador LP700-4. Carbon fiber is widely used in the construction of the supercar, thanks to which the dry weight of the car is only 1,575 kg.
The engine has been redesigned and is a 6.5-liter V12 producing 700 hp. and a maximum torque of 690 Nm, which is transmitted to all wheels through the new seven-speed Graziano transmission and Haldex clutch. The switching speed of the new box is only 50 milliseconds.
Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 2.25 kilograms per hp. The maximum speed of the supercar is 350 km / h, and acceleration from zero to a hundred takes just 2.9 seconds.
The interior of the new Lamborghini is not at all Spartan. High quality materials have been used in the decoration, including two-tone leather and Alcantara. The dashboard is a bit like a Ferrari 458 Italia, with a large tachometer in the foreground. The center console houses an LCD display and control buttons for the main systems.
Customers received the first cars in the summer of 2011. Price Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 starts from 255,000 euros, in the States the novelty is estimated at 379,700 dollars, and in the Russian market for a supercar of 2013 model year they ask for at least 17,615,000 rubles (the pre-styling version was sold for 19,000,000 rubles).

An updated version of the Aventador was presented at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. This car sports redesigned wheels, new springs and upgraded Ohlins shock absorbers, as well as a start / stop system and half-cylinder shutdown function at light loads.
The latest innovations have made the supercar 7% more economical than its original version – the average fuel consumption of the LP700-4 in the combined cycle has been reduced to 16.0 liters per hundred kilometers.
In May 2013, Lamborghini announced the release of the two thousandth copy of the Aventador – it was a black-painted coupe, which was acquired by Thaddeus Arroyo, a top manager of the American telecommunications company AT&T. In total, it is planned to assemble four thousand cars – this is five hundred pieces more than the original plan, which was adjusted due to the increased demand for Aventador.
