In the eighteenth year, the Chinese company Leading One introduced its first and so far the only model – the Ideal One hybrid crossover. In the Celestial Empire, the SUV found its audience, so the developers rushed to update it, while taking into account the wishes of customers.
Outside, the restyled version of the Leading Ideal One has not changed, although the front turn signals are now located separately in the lower part of the bumper (they were previously integrated into the headlights).
The salon also remained the same, but the developers abandoned the option with a seven-seater cabin layout due to the lack of demand for it (only 4% of sales). From now on, the crossover is offered exclusively in a six-seater version with separate seats in the second row.
But in the course of restyling, the company modified the sequential hybrid installation of the crossover. The 1.2-liter turbo engine involved in it (acts as a generator) has not changed. Plus, the 136 hp front electric motor remains the same. (240 Nm).
But the Chinese replaced the rear electric motor with a more compact one. It gives out 197 forces (+ 7) and 215 Nm (- 75). By the way, it was necessary to replace the original unit with a less high-torque one largely due to the increased gas tank, which now has a volume of 55 liters (+ 10).
Thus, the total output of the two electric motors on the restyled model reaches 333 “horses” (+ 7) and 455 Nm of torque (-75). They receive energy from the previous traction battery with a capacity of 40.5 kWh, however, on a single charge, the updated SUV can travel up to 188 km (+ 8). At the same time, the installation of a more capacious gas tank also made it possible to increase the total range of the model to 1,080 km (+ 280).
In addition, the updated Leading Ideal One boasts an outlet for connecting external electrical appliances with a power of up to 2.2 kW, as well as an upgraded set of electronic assistants, the latter expanding the functionality of the pseudo-autopilot.
In particular, the SUV has acquired 12 ultrasonic sensors of increased accuracy, cameras with increased resolution (eight megapixels on the front ones) and a new Horizon Journey 3 chip instead of the previous Mobileye Q4, which has quadrupled the performance of the system.
In the Chinese market, the updated crossovers will appear in June twenty-first. How the price of the model will change is not specified yet.
