How much is the new Mitsubishi ASX 2021 in Russia: the price of the model on the official dealer’s website varies from 1,732,000 to 2,162,000 rubles… In our market, the car is sold in four trim levels: Inform, Invite, Intense and Instyle.
The Mitsubishi ASX powertrain lineup is represented by two engines: 1.6- and 2.0-liter petrol units (both four-cylinder). These engines work either with a five-speed mechanics or with a continuously variable variator. The drive can be either front-wheel drive or full.

- Initial release Inform hardly anyone will be attracted, since it is practically empty: it includes two airbags, ABS, audio preparation and power accessories, air conditioning, and 16-inch steel wheels.
- In the package Invite added only audio control buttons on the steering wheel, heated front seats and, attention! trunk curtain.
- Performed by Intense added foglights, roof rails, a rearview camera, leather-wrapped steering wheel and alloy wheels. But this is on cars with front-wheel drive, and in the 4WD version there are seven airbags, a stabilization system, a hill start assist function and 17-inch wheels.
- Most expensive Instyle includes a full set of air-runs, climate control, light and rain sensors, DRL, leather upholstery, power driver’s seat, keyless entry to the cabin, engine start button and cruise control.
The new 2021 Mitsubishi ASX body is built on the GS platform, while the chassis design of the compact Japanese crossover provides for the presence of independent suspensions on both axles: McPherson struts are used at the front, and a multi-link design at the rear. Disc brakes are also installed around the car.

According to the data sheet, the minimum trunk volume of the Mitsubishi ASX is declared at 384 liters, however, the rear row seats that fold into the floor can significantly increase this figure. The fuel tank is designed for 60-63 liters. The curb weight of the car varies from 1,300 to 1,455 kg and directly depends on the selected engine / equipment.
- The base 1.6-liter engine develops 117 hp. and 154 Nm, working in conjunction with a five-speed manual. Cars with this unit have front-wheel drive and are capable of accelerating from zero to hundreds in 11.4 seconds, and their maximum speed reaches 183 km / h.
- More expensive versions of the ACX are equipped with a 2.0-liter unit with 150 forces and 197 Nm of torque, which works in tandem with a continuously variable variator. Such crossovers have full drive, and from 0-100 km / h they accelerate in 11.7 seconds (maximum speed – 191 kilometers per hour).
Even with a two-liter engine, you should not expect dynamic records from the Mitsubishi ASX. At the same time, the “Japanese” leaves a very pleasant impression in dense city traffic (largely due to its compact dimensions), and it does not get lost on the track, thoughtfully accelerating and confidently overtaking.
As for the cross-country ability, the high ground clearance and competent work of the all-wheel drive allow the model to feel confident both on snowy roads and on a washed-out dirt road. However, the ASX is not a full-fledged SUV, and the maximum it is capable of is to drive on light off-road.
The Mitsubishi ASX crossover is far from new. It was first presented to the public back in 2010 and has since been regularly updated. The first light restyling took place in 2013, and in 2017 the crossover has changed much more, having received the appearance in the new corporate style “Dynamic Shield”.
Once again, the updated ASX was declassified in February two thousand nineteen, while the model that survived a small facelift was presented to the public “live” a month later – at the March Geneva Motor Show. Note that in Europe, sales of restyled crossovers started in the fall of the same year, and the newly updated SUV reached Russia only in April 2020.
Time will show how much the restyled ASX will be in demand with us, but in 2019 only 4 390 Russians bought the model. First of all, the drop in sales is due to the age itself, while buyers increasingly prefer younger classmate crossovers such as KIA Seltos and Skoda Karoq.

Overview (exterior and interior)
The modern version of Mitsubishi ASX 2021 in a new body is significantly different from the one presented ten years ago. It looks noticeably more solid and aggressive, especially from the front. The main advantage of the updated model is the narrow LED headlights, which are now required even for basic versions.
Plus, the car pleases the eye with the X-shaped design of the “face” with large chrome strips in the radiator grille and the same boomerang-shaped decorative inserts on the sides. It is interesting that for all these years, the profile of the SUV has practically not changed.
The car has the correct strokes of the wheel arches with neat black plastic linings, as well as a swift stamping line on the sidewalls. The latter originates from the decorative ventilation slots on the front fenders, passes through the door handles and ends at the rear lights.
As for the stern, the restyled ASX received a new bumper with a large decorative insert at the bottom, simulating a diffuser, while the taillights of the model are now united by a chrome strip with the Japanese brand logo in the center.
The strongest age of the Mitsubishi ASX in 2021 is felt in the cabin. In particular, the car has a plump and austerely designed front panel, which has practically not changed over all these years, and the single-zone climate control unit lacks an information display, so setting the settings “feels like”.
The situation is saved by a fairly modern three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a well-thought-out instrument cluster, in which the analog speedometer and tachometer are located in deep wells, and between them there is a small on-board computer display. Such a tidy is readable well, and its backlighting is moderately bright.
The entertainment system has been updated during the last restyling. The Japanese have finally “made friends” multimedia with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay interfaces, and also increased the touchscreen diagonal to 8.0 inches (+ 1.0). The latter is still mounted in the upper part of the center console, however, to accommodate it, the developers had to make minor changes to the layout of the latter (for example, slightly displace the ventilation deflectors).
Note that a special mobile application is now also available for the new model, thanks to which various on-board information can be displayed on the owner’s smartphone (for example, speedometer and tachometer readings).
Despite some budget and asceticism, the interior of the new Mitsubishi ASX 2021 is quite comfortable and spacious, and there is enough free space both in the front and in the back. You can only find fault with the most pronounced lateral support of the front seats and a simple rear sofa, but sitting on them at the same time is quite comfortable.
There are also no serious questions about the ergonomics of the model: there is a comfortable armrest between the front seats, and there is no shortage of free niches for small things in the cabin.
