In turn, the rear of the car is notable for the presence of a massive diffuser and a large wing. The Italians report that at a speed of 320 km / h, the model’s advanced aerodynamic body kit generates about 1,000 kg of downforce.
The track Huayra R also features 19-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in special Pirelli P Zero slicks. According to the developers, the latter provide maximum grip on the road surface and make the car predictable, even for non-professional drivers.
The interior of the hypercar is equipped with comfortable racing seats. They are firmly attached to the monocoque and have six-point seat belts. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a detachable steering wheel, AP Racing pedals and an advanced telemetry system.
High safety is guaranteed by a strong safety cage, plus there is a fire extinguisher in the cabin, although the coupe’s arsenal also includes a full-fledged automatic fire extinguishing system.
It is reported that the Pagani Huayra R is built on the basis of a new monocoque made with modern composite materials. Compared to the road model, the flexural rigidity of the body is 51% higher and the torsional rigidity is 16% higher. The hypercar is powered by a new 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12-R engine, which has been under development for two years with the direct participation of HWA AG specialists.
It is reported that the unit weighs only 198 kg and its capacity reaches 850 hp. (750 Nm). According to the Italians, no track supercar in the world has been equipped with such a light and powerful atmospheric engine before.
In many respects, the developers managed to achieve outstanding performance through the use of direct fuel injection at a pressure of 200 bar. Note that the engine can spin up to 9,000 rpm. In conjunction with the engine, a new six-speed sequential mechanics with a racing clutch and three-plate clutches are working. It was also developed in collaboration with HWA AG and weighs 80 kg.
By the way, the dry weight of the coupe is only 1,080 kg. Unfortunately, the dynamic characteristics of the car have not yet been disclosed, but it is known that the car is equipped with six-piston Brembo brakes with 410 and 390 mm discs at the front and rear, respectively.
Additionally, the Pagani Waira R boasts a special suspension with forged aluminum alloy components. The suspension design employs independent double wishbones, coil springs, and electronically controlled adaptive dampers.
A unique exhaust system with four tailpipes has been specially developed for this model, which gives the car sound in the style of classic F-1 cars. Its equal length lines are made of Inconel and additionally coated with ceramic coating. Special mufflers are available as an option, reducing the exhaust noise level by up to 110 dB.
In total, Pagani plans to release 30 copies of the track coupe at a price of 2.6 million euros each (229.2 million rubles at the current exchange rate). In addition to the car itself, customers will also have the opportunity to participate in a number of races and events. Plus, customers will be provided with full technical support and assistance from professional riders.
