The engine took a diesel one. I think it is the most optimal engine for this carcass – it rides very well. Moment from the bottom, no need to twist. The only sound in the cabin is the rumbling of a diesel engine (the benz will be quieter).
Paired with a six-speed Aisin is generally a fairy tale. You don’t feel switching, the consumption on the highway is 5-6 liters (I don’t drive more than 130 km / h). Eats 7-8 liters in the city. If you drive actively, and with this engine you can do that, it will be 9.5 liters, but the bortovik never showed me higher.

Everything is still normal, with the exception of the current bugs from the manufacturer. So, the assembly is curved in places. Although the French are beautiful and specialists, they are gouging in accuracy: the panels on the central tunnel in the cabin are poorly joined – you hold it with your hand, and one esthete starts crying somewhere inside. The discs have a polished surface already in the trash – something is wrong there. It is, of course, not so for everyone, but I am not alone in this trouble.

Apparently, the salon was designed in China. I am 185 cm tall and rest against the ceiling, and the seat does not fall below. With the third row unfolded, there is nowhere to remove the luggage curtain, it simply does not fit in the trunk. There is not much space for storing things, those under the floor of the second row are uncomfortable. The main glove compartment is awkward. And the separation between the seats of the first row is a separate story: in winter at -15 a bottle of water inside turns into ice.
The third row of seats itself is inconvenient to unfold / fold. It feels like the seats themselves were designed by one person, and the raised floor by another. And they did not communicate with each other. When you try to unfold or fold the seats, the raised floor constantly interferes with doing it normally.

Cool exterior design and just a space interior with a fully digital dashboard: I got used to the keys in a couple of hours, the screen is responsive, bright, and does not glare. The updated crossover already has a third row of seats on the base, which was previously offered only as an option. Even an adult can sit in the gallery, although people over 180 cm tall will inevitably rest their knees on the backs of the second row of chairs. Any convenience for passengers is not provided here – riders have to be content with only hard armrests in the side trim.
Despite the same power and similar dynamic characteristics, the diesel Peugeot 508 2021 in a new body rides somewhat more dynamically than a gasoline one, and this is largely due to the eight-speed automatic, which clicks gears quickly, gently and in a timely manner.
Even in the “Eco” mode, the diesel unit readily responds to pressing the accelerator pedal, due to which the crossover confidently picks up speed, although it still lacks stars during dynamic overtaking on the track. In general, the driver’s character of the model can be described by the phrase “not a sprinter, but a stayer”.
At the same time, a diesel engine can also please the driver with good economy: even in the city, fuel consumption rarely exceeds 9.0-9.5 l / 100 km. For a seven-seater crossover, these figures can be considered outstanding.
