In general, there is fire in the city of a car: very smart, maneuverable, resilient, sounds great – just a lighter! But I didn’t like it on the track, over long distances you get very tired of it: the car is too stiff and elastic, you have to be in constant tension on the track.
The quality of the interior is excellent, but there is little space in the car. You just can’t put a child’s seat behind the driver’s seat, because then I won’t be able to get behind the wheel. But if you ride together, then that’s it.

We have both Macan and Cayenne in our family. I want to note about the quality of the interior: in my Kai it seems that even the skin is different, and there are obvious cracks in the interior slats (maybe this is a marriage, but the dealer did not answer me anything about it). To be honest, I have not seen such a sludge in the Germans, and I never expected from Porsche.
Makan has the perfect combination of a bunch of beautiful functional buttons and the same excellent and modern multimedia head unit. In my opinion, the feeling of the quality of the interior in Makan is much higher.

One of the best glass roof layouts, very comfortable seats, the steering wheel is divine. During the year of ownership, no problems were identified, but there are a couple of points.
Air that is very different in temperature comes from the air ducts – you can get burned. The dealer says this is a “feature” of the Porsche. There were also no “fastmoving parts”: we had to wait three weeks for the pads from Germany. And the service, of course, is too expensive.

The handling is excellent, it enters the turns at any speed like an iron. Dynamics is the most amazing thing for me, even with a 2.0 engine it behaves to match its racing brothers. In normal mode, it is a natural city vegetable, but when you switch the wheel to S / S +, the car starts to amaze, giving a storm of emotions that you don’t expect to see from it.
Reliability – here my comment will not be very useful, since at such a run (20,000 km) this is not an indicator. However, there are points that you are most likely to come across. For example, fogging of the “monobrow” headlights on the trunk, and there is no getting away from it. There is a problem in Makan, Panamera, and Cayenne.

The suspension is stiff – I realized this right away, but if nothing rattles or claps in the cabin, then the stiffness is perceived as relatively normal. There is still silence in my salon. The brakes are effective but not responsive. Even a small Toyota clings more sharply, there and then Vagovskaya vatnost is present.
The motor is the main controversial point. With normal driving, it is not enough. You can drive for all the money only in “sports”, but here in terms of return, the Porsche is clearly inferior to a similar two-liter engine from BMW. Note that the basic version of the SUV uses a multi-link suspension with steel springs and conventional shock absorbers. However, the vehicle can be ordered with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), where the damping rate varies depending on driving style and road conditions.

- Basic version relies on a 2.0-liter inline “turbo four” with a capacity of 252 hp. (370 Nm). With such a motor, the crossover is capable of accelerating from zero to a hundred in 6.7 seconds, and its maximum speed reaches 227 km / h.
- Followed by Macan Swhich is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. The latter develops 354 hp. and 480 Nm, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 5.3 seconds. At the same time, the maximum speed is declared at around 254 km / h.
- The top version of the crossover is Porsche Macan Turbo, where the output of the 2.9-liter V6 with two turbines is brought to 440 “horses” and 550 Nm of torque. The flagship is capable of exchanging the first hundred in 4.5 seconds, and its speed limit is 270 kilometers per hour.
- Earlier in the lineup there was also a diesel Macan S Diesel, equipped with a three-liter turbocharged “turbo six” on heavy fuel, developing 245 hp and 580 Nm. Now this option is not available, but you may get caught on the secondary housing. It goes up to a hundred in 6.4 seconds, the maximum speed is 227 km / h.
Another step higher is Macan GTS… It is driven by a 2.9-liter biturbo V6 engine with 380 horsepower (520 Nm). This version of the model is able to “shoot” from 0-100 km / h in 4.9 seconds, accelerating up to 261 km / h.
For a measured ride in the city, even a basic two-liter version is enough for the eyes, and for regular trips on the highway, it is better to give preference to older versions: on versions with V6, the power reserve is enough even for intensive trips somewhere in the mountains.
During the planned restyling, the Germans did not rebuild the Porsche Macan chassis, so the chassis of the crossover is still tuned with a great emphasis on handling, while comfort questions arise – the suspension is somewhat stiff.
First of all, the “German” is intended for operation on asphalt, but even outside public roads it feels quite confident: the “glamorous” crossover is able to drive even where not every jeep will stick.
The interior of the new 2021 Porsche Macan is classic, with lots of analog buttons in the center tunnel. However, they are located adequately and you can interact with them without being distracted from the road.
The only ergonomic puncture is seen except for the steering wheel heating button: it is located on the spoke and constantly gets under the fingers. The front seats of the model have numerous adjustments and enveloping lateral bolsters. Sitting in them, as if you merge into a single whole with the machine.
In terms of dimensions, the new Porsche Macan is far from the smallest car, but its back row is frankly cramped: tall passengers rest their heads against the ceiling, and their knees against the hard backs of the front seats.
