I must say right away that he was not impressed, and I am a little sorry that I opted for this “miracle” of the Korean car industry. I don’t know, maybe the beautiful view and the dark gray color, which looks very stylish, have clouded my mind.

So let’s go. The car offers the owner many functions, but all of them are somehow raw, not brought to mind. Lexus is much better in this regard, but what to compare is different money and equipment level.

If, in general, we give the car a characteristic, then for its price it is not bad. This is rather due to the dimensions, and not to the manufacturer, around which the myth of high quality at a reasonable price has been created.

The headlights are shining normally, I have not adjusted anything in addition. The only thing is that they are directed downward, and in order to fix this, it will probably be necessary to deal with regulation. But it’s not critical yet, so I’m not going to touch anything. And again, why didn’t they facilitate this process, because the car is modern? But the question is rhetorical – let’s move on.

I’m trying to figure out the algorithm for the wipers. They are adaptive, but it is not clear how the intensity of their work is regulated. I suspect the speed of the car, but not sure. This idea was prompted by the fact that I was somehow driving through the courtyards in the dark during the rain at a minimum speed – so after a few minutes nothing was visible due to the drops on the windshield.

Suspension on Sorento Prime raises no particular complaints, except for the annoying squeak that appears from time to time. To fix the problem, I will apply for a guarantee, if they do not help (there is little hope, but it is there), I will find normal specialists. I read that this problem is typical for this model.

The paintwork must be very, very careful. I recommend avoiding contact with anything, and especially with vegetation: even a small twig leaves a mark on the body, which will require polishing to remove.

There are also annoying accidents with the back door. When not needed, for some reason it opens itself (at first I thought that I was accidentally pressing the key fob, but then it turned out that I did not), and when necessary, I have to press the button several times. I think the problem is with the firmware itself. But to solve this trouble, you need an experienced specialist, otherwise you can generally switch to the manual opening mode.

In addition, the glove compartment does not open well – the dealer said that it was a constructive flaw, so I decided to score on the inconvenience. On the positive side, I would like to note the navigation – it really pleases. The multimedia also left a good impression: there is no intricate menu, and it works quickly.

As for the fuel consumption, it is definitely high. So, in the “Smart” mode, the car consumes 17 liters per 100 km, moving around the city. And this mode saves 2 liters. Therefore, think for yourself whether to buy or not to buy. I have an 80% chance of never choosing a Korean again.
