Vision Mercedes-maybach 6 Concept Showed At Pebble Beach 2016 (photos)

The luxury coupe Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Concept was presented at the 2016 Pebble Beach Automotive Elegance Competition, where the number six in the model name alludes to the length of the model. From nose to tail, this is 5,700 mm (this is 638 mm more than the S-Class Coupe), width – 2,100, height – 1,328.

Externally, the car is somewhat reminiscent of the prototype Vision Gran Turismo, but in general, its appearance is more associated with a high-speed boat. There is a huge long bonnet and a sloping roof cockpit pushed back.

At the front, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept sports an imposing radiator grille with vertical fins, and the front and rear lighting technology is made in the form of narrow full LED strips. Rounding out the picture are larger 24-inch wheels (in the style of those found on the Concept IAA) and gull-wing doors that open upwards.

The seating formula here is not even 2 + 2 – the compartment is designed exclusively for two people. By the way, the steering wheel and dashboard do not look so futuristic, but everything else is exactly a look into the future.

For example, a lot of different information is displayed directly on the windshield, and special sensors are installed in the seats, with the help of which the electronics can independently change the seat settings, the temperature in the cabin and even the backlight color, which will depend on the color of the clothes.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept is driven by four electric motors (one for each wheel) with a total output of 750 hp, providing acceleration to hundreds in less than four seconds, while the maximum speed is limited to 250 km / h. They are powered by batteries with a capacity of 80 kWh located under the bottom, the full charge of which is enough for 500 kilometers.

You can replenish energy in the battery using a household network, by induction, as well as using a special powerful 350 kW station, which can increase the power reserve by one hundred kilometers in five minutes. There is no information about the future of this project yet, but it can be assumed that there will be a serial Mercedes-Maybach coupe sooner or later. True, he is unlikely to receive even half of the solutions used in the prototype.

Note that this is not the first coupe for Maybach. In 2004, the Maybach Exelero was released in a single copy, which was bought by rapper Birdman for $ 8 million, and later the body shop Xenatec built several two-doors based on the Maybach 57S on its own.
